This project, carried out by Architectural Spaces, involved the full refurbishment of Connemara Sands Hotel, where a layered and carefully considered palette of fabrics and finishes was used to shape each space. Working across both guest and communal areas, the focus was on creating a sense of warmth and individuality while maintaining a cohesive flow throughout the hotel.
Rich velvets, soft linens and textured upholstery were introduced across seating and soft furnishings, bringing depth and comfort to the interiors. These were paired with tailored joinery, subtle wall finishes and carefully selected lighting to enhance both mood and functionality. In areas such as the bar and dining spaces, bolder fabric choices and colour contrasts were used to create character and energy, while guest rooms and quieter zones were approached with a softer, more relaxed material palette.
Every element, from bespoke upholstery to curtain treatments and finishing details, was sourced and curated through The Design Barn, ensuring quality and consistency across the project. The result is a refined yet inviting interior, where materials and finishes work together to elevate the overall experience of the space.
