Completed by Architectural Spaces, this project involved the transformation of Lydon’s Lodge, a well-known venue in the heart of Cong, Co. Mayo, reimagined to enhance its atmosphere while supporting a more flexible and contemporary dining experience. The existing interior was carefully reworked, with layout and spatial planning refined to improve flow and accommodate a variety of seating arrangements suited to both casual and more intimate settings.
A key element of the design was the introduction of a rich and layered material palette, with fabrics, finishes, and textures thoughtfully sourced through The Design Barn. Warm upholstery, considered lighting, and tactile surfaces were selected to create depth and comfort, while ensuring durability within a busy hospitality environment.
The result is a space that feels relaxed yet refined – balancing character and cohesion while offering a welcoming setting that reflects both the location and the evolving needs of the venue.
